Random notes from a former confirmed spinster who still lives with cats. Some things never change. Oh, and I quilt, hike, and bake on occasion.

A Smitten Kitten
Happy weekend, everyone! It was a rainy cold weekend and I had no real plans. So, with my devil may care attitude, I decided to clean, cook, and quilt. I know! Could things be any better? I think not. This weekend, I decided to focus on finishing the Smitten quilt this weekend and I thought that I only had a couple of blocks left. But, after I arranged the blocks to work on the layout, I decided that I needed to add another row because it was looking at being about 55 inches finished and not nearly long enough to curl up in. The pattern says to add a border, but I don't really want to do that. I'd rather add to the quilt with another row of blocks. So, I have two blocks left and then I can start playing with the layout. I don't think my projects ever really end.
