Mothers, Night, Noon, and Northern Lights

Noon and Light
I could have gone with brighter shades of yellow for my noon and light block, but it is just not light here right now and this is really much more accurate.

Night and Day
Are you kidding me?  Are you kidding me?  Look at that!  Boo. Yah!

Mother's Dream
At this time of year, my mother dreams of flowers and spring.  She is an amazing gardener and she dreams of having her orange rhododendron bloom.  It won't because the Wisconsin winters are always cruel and unusual, but if it did it would be a dream come true.

"What? I cured myself thank you very much."
Sam had a hematoma on his ear which required a trip to the vet.  I made the appointment, told my co-workers I would be late to work and got up at 5:00 am to get him to the vet's very first appointment at 7:30 am.  I did all of this only to discover that the hematoma had mostly gone away during the night.  Here's the thing, Sam curled up on my lap the night before his appointment and Angry Bob lumbered in, sat down by us, and spent five minutes cleaning Sam's ear.  The next morning the swelling was down considerably and I decided we could wait for the weekend for his appointment.  Today it was completely gone and Dr. Angry Bob once again spent five minutes on his patient keeping his ear clean.  Sam has bald spot where the bubble was but is letting me touch it and seems okay with it.  Bob gets extra treats for taking care of business and I get the satisfaction of knowing that I live in a Disney movie.
Peaceful Hours
I could spend several peaceful hours staring at these blue fabrics.

Northern Lights
We just had a display of the northern lights here and I missed it because we had cloud cover.  The lights were green, but I chose this fabric because I saw it in my stash and wanted to use it.  Sorry, not every story will be nominated for the Booker Award.

  4. too bad your Disney movie bubble burst with missing the Northern Lights. About winning the Booker Prize...isn't there one for "ear-licking-disney-movie-aurora-borealis-missing" category? Love your blocks too btw. I have only started and am really enjoying the preview of all of the blocks yet to make in my attempt at FW greatness (or closeness to greatness)
